About Me

I am a Scottish artist and maker. I have a background in fine art & design. I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in 2017 with a degree in Jewellery & Metalwork Design.

I love making, drawing and painting and am inspired by the nature all around us with a particular interest on Scottish fauna.

I enjoy needle felting though I confess to enjoying teaching it more than actually doing it these days. I’ve taught adult night classes in Dundee for around four years now. I find a great deal of satisfaction in sharing knowledge and watching others grow in confidence. I also love meeting other likeminded folk.

I am inspired to make objects – this idea of turning a medium into a tactile tangible handheld artwork. I love that they can be passed on and hold their own stories and history. Whether that’s precious jewellery, a clay sculpture… or something else entirely.

I spend most of my creative energy sculpting. I used to work exclusively in polymer clay but I took the leap into kiln ownership and now I work exclusively in ceramic and in porcelain in particular.
