About Me

I am a Scottish artist and maker. I have a background in fine art and design and graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in 2017 with a degree in Jewellery & Metalwork Design.

I love making, drawing and painting and the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of Scotland influence my work. In my drawing and painting I work both digitally using procreate on the ipad pro as well as with more traditional mediums.

In my object work I love needle felting and working with polymer clay creating little treasures.

I love objects and I love making them. – turning a medium into a tactile tangible handheld artwork. I love that they can be passed on and hold their own stories and history. Whether that’s precious jewellery or a tiny polymer clay sculpture… or something else entirely.

I discovered needle felting in 2013 and was immediately hooked. I was so inspired by the simplicity of using wool to create characterful 3D objects. I’m endlessly inspired by nature and wool lends itself so well to fur, paws, wings and tails.

When I’m not needle felting.. I’m sculpting with polymer clay. It allows me to do all my favourite things – designing, sculpting & painting. I love that each one is unique and they have so much charm and character.

Most of my polymer clay work is inspired by animals and I’ve made everything from owls and foxes to monkeys and big cats. I love painting them and watching them come to life, and some of them end up dressed all fancy accented with a glint gold leaf.
